For several years, HAF has had the privilege of serving the people of Koremi by providing Iftar during the blessed month of Ramadan—bringing families and community members together to share in the spirit of compassion and unity.

Alhamdulillah, on March 5, 2026, HAF staff and dedicated volunteers from Harar and Dire Dawa joined hands with the local community to organize a special Iftar gathering “Aftir Daay” for the people of Koremi and the surrounding areas. Preparations for this meaningful event began ten days in advance, with teams working tirelessly to ensure everything was ready.

During the gathering, HAF served over 2,000 complete Iftar meals, including Injera, meat, rice, salad, vegetables, and more—nourishing both body and spirit for the community.

The event was a heartwarming occasion where community members came together to break their fast, strengthen bonds, and celebrate the blessings of Ramadan. Events like these are made possible through the generosity and support of our donors and volunteers, whose contributions continue to bring hope and nourishment to those in need.
