With rising inflation pushing basic necessities beyond reach for many families, Harari Amana Foundation has stepped up by increasing the monthly allowance for Harari elders from 1,000.00 ETB (set at its inception) to 1,200.00 ETB, effective January 1, 2026.

At the last quarterly Board of Directors meeting held on December 24, 2025, the proposed increase and effective date were unanimously approved. The Board also agreed to review the allowance at each quarterly meeting to determine whether additional increases are needed.
